Even in dark times there is light

Today, every Ukrainian has put their ordinary life on hold and is fighting the aggressor in every possible way — to stop the destruction, the killings, and the propaganda. Ukraine has become a unified force of resistance: from soldiers with weapons to artists with pencils.

Our project aims to tell the stories of people who, through their courage, determination, and love for their country, have become heroes to us all.

Every individual is risking their lives to meet the basic needs of people across Ukrainian cities and villages: IT engineers are developing apps that help those in danger, journalists are providing timely and accurate coverage, drivers are delivering food to remote areas, pharmacists continue their essential work, volunteers are rescuing pets, and managers are coordinating complex logistics — and that’s just a fraction of what’s happening.

Everyone is doing something extraordinary. For Ukrainians, nothing is impossible at the moment.

With this project, we aim to document the remarkable efforts, struggles, and personal stories of ordinary people who, despite fear, hardship, and uncertainty, are doing everything in their power to stop Russia’s war and continue building Ukraine’s future.
