Yellow&Blue
Yellow&Blue is a vibrant and multifaceted project that tells the story of contemporary Ukraine—its history and culture—through the works of leading Ukrainian illustrators. This graphic series invites viewers to explore Ukraine through bold, precise images of modern illustration. The universal language of visual art makes it possible to share our stories with clarity and emotional depth across the globe.
The Yellow&Blue project was launched in 2016 and has since been presented in numerous countries—in museums, galleries, and even on city streets. It plays a key role in promoting Ukrainian culture and identity to international audiences.
The works of Ukrainian illustrators offer a vision of Ukraine at the crossroads of past and present: traditional celebrations, national cuisine, and folk instruments coexist with modern digital technologies. Historic Ukrainian cities with legendary figures blend seamlessly with business centers, packed minibuses, open-air markets, third-wave coffee shops, and the breathtaking diversity of nature—from the majestic Carpathians and mountain lakes to crowded river and seaside beaches, from the legendary Ukrainian steppes to other natural wonders.
